Community Outreach

The County of Monmouth in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) recognize that community participation is an integral part of all phases of a project, and as such, a comprehensive Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP) has been developed for this project. The outreach program, implemented during the LCD Study and continued through the LPE Phase, includes local officials, community stakeholders, agency representatives, and the general public in the transportation improvement development process. Monmouth County and the Project Team looks forward to continuing Community Outreach during the Final Design Phase and through the Construction Phase.

Community Outreach Elements include:

  • Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP)
  • Local Officials Meetings*
  • Community Stakeholders Meetings*
  • Public Information Center Meetings*
  • Project Specific Website
  • Project Information Handouts, Portfolios, and Meeting Notice Mailings & Emails

* Due to COVID-19, meetings may be held online instead of in-person depending on the mandates for public safety at the time of scheduling. If meeting in-person, physical social distancing and mask requirements will be applied according to current guidelines.
